Long Live Hennessey's

Hennessey's is the "Cheers" of Morristown-"Where Everybody Knows Your Name." It's the first establishment I began to frequent when I moved to Morristown and it reminded me of a small Montana bar or the Jack and Dan's of Spokane. It is the only bar in Morristown I feel comfortable to walk in with sweatpants and a baseball cap. It's become a second home. From the company, to the bartenders-especially Princey and Jimmy, to snow days with Brownie, to the St. Patrick's Day Parade celebrations and corn beef sandwiches, to the George Foreman hamburgers, to the shady bathrooms, to the orange bar, to the cash only, to Jim's stories at lunch, to the dirty floor, to Bill's Bloody Mary's, to the smell of smoke that will linger on you for days, to the red beer..., these are some of the qualities that make Hennessey's unique. Even though it will only be closed for six months, I will miss the quaint Hennessey's we have known and grown to love.
